STEMSUP is a not-for-profit company incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, based in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
Our mission and vision
Our mission is to promote scientific temper in children: helping them question, test, reason and decide for themselves. Our vision is a million children and young people empowered by 2030, with the curiosity, confidence and practical skills to shape their own futures.
Our approach: Think, Create, Navigate
We organise all our work around three ways children learn for life. Think is about curiosity and evidence. Create is about hands-on making and problem-solving. Navigate is about safety, decisions and everyday independence. Environmental care and inclusion run through all three.
Leadership
STEMSUP was founded by Omprakash Ganesan, who was raised in a small village in Thoothukudi and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. His career spans public service with the Government of Tamil Nadu, scientific research at ISRO and international development work with the United Nations. Read his story.

We hold 12A registration, all donations are eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G, and we are registered to receive CSR funds (CSR-1). See our trust and transparency page.
